Concord Women

Concord Presbyterian Church

Every woman who joins Concord Presbyterian Church is automatically a member of Concord Women. You are most welcome, and are encouraged, to attend any of the Concord Women's events and gatherings. Concord Women is comprised of several "circles" which gather regularly for fellowship or service projects. Concord Women is part of the connectional-church organization Presbyterian Women (described below). Concord Women board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in Jessie's Room. If you would like to join a circle please feel free to contact any leader or the church office (302-654-9652). Join in the love and joy of getting to know one another better through God.

Presbyterian Women Statement of Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ,
and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study;

to support the mission of the of the church worldwide;

to work for justice and peace; and

to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Presbyterian Women is a church-wide organization whose membership is open to all women. The members are women who choose to participate in or be supportive of the organization in any way. Presbyterian Women intentionally seeks the membership of women from all racial-ethnic groups so that the organization may reflect a vision of the whole church as a community of mutual interdependence in which diversity contributes to wholeness.

Presbyterian Women gives strong support to the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in congregations, presbyteries, and synods as well as General Assembly. The connectional system allows ideas and information to continually flow back and forth to strengthen the work of Presbyterian Women and the Ministry of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
