Fellowship at Concord Presbyterian Church
"We
will build a church family that welcomes, embraces, and loves all
people, excluding no one from full involvement in the life of the
church. "
Youth
Concord's
youth not only get together for
fun*, they are active in the missions
of the church. They prepare
and serve meals at homeless shelters, deliver baskets of food to the
Hanover Food Pantry, wrap gifts for our Holiday Family Offering, and
sell lunch to support their own mission
trip.
* get a pizza and watch a movie, or
go bowling, or ice skating, or even travel over a weekend to fellowship
with youth from another
area. See our Youth Group
page or the On-Line
Events Calendar.

SERVICE
GROUPS
Care Committee: The Concord
Care Committee is a standing committee of the Board of
Deacons and is comprised of a few currently active Deacons plus
good-hearted volunteers who provide our members with assistance in
times of need. The committee can arrange for transportation to medical
appointments, supply meals to the sick, injured, bereaved, and their
family, plus the committee assists with memorial receptions at the
church. The committee also arranges for the delivery of the Sanctuary
flowers each Sunday and sends a note to everyone on our Weekly Prayer
List to remind you that our Concord family cares for you.
Concord Ushers: Serving as
one of the Concord Ushers is a great way to meet new people
and strengthen your relationship with church members. Before worship
ushers stand in the rear of the Sanctuary distributing bulletins,
directing parents to childcare, and during the service they collect the
offering. Following the service ushers collect the attendance sheets
and straighten up the pews and the Narthex. Volunteers are placed on a
rotating schedule so that each volunteer
will only have to usher approximately five times per year. No
experience is necessary, just a desire to serve your church. There are
no meetings to attend and we invite the entire Concord Church community
- singles, couples, and families - to volunteer.
Fellowship Committee: These
individuals assist various groups within the church who are
holding special events with set up, serving, and clean up. They also
provide the refreshments for coffee hour before and after the worship
service on Sunday mornings. Although several Deacons serve on the
committee, additional help is always welcome.
