Like Jesus, we cherish and love children. We know childhood is a crucial time for faith development, and we warmly invite children and youth to take part in exciting, fun, and purposeful Christ-centered activities throughout the year.
Children are valued members of the body of Christ. We seek to meet them where they are and invite them to move, create, listen, wonder, and participate fully in the life of our church.
WORSHIP
All children and youth are welcome and invited to participate in worship every Sunday! The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday when children, youth and adults worship as a community for the full hour, with children and youth invited to bring the Communion elements forward, serve as greeters, ushers, and liturgists, as well as participate in the musical elements of worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children and youth are invited to participate in Sunday school following the Wondering Time message on non-Communion Sundays (the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month). Children ages 3 through grade 5 are invited to join adult leaders for J.A.M. — Jesus and Me! Youth in grades 6-12 participate in Sunday Seekers, a Bible Study/pre-Confirmation class that explores faith and how we live out the Bible in our world today.
NURSERY
Childcare for infants – 2 years old is provided on an “as needed” basis in the upstairs Sunday School hallway (Room F 205) by an experienced volunteer and helper. If you anticipate needing childcare on a Sunday morning, please contact Christina, the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries, before Sunday morning.
CHILDREN’S SPACE
The Children’s Space at the back of the sanctuary includes a rocking chair, rug, books, and quiet activities. It allows children to move, create, listen, and observe while remaining part of the worshiping community.
Sunday Mornings
J.A.M. - Jesus & Me!
J.A.M. helps children experience God’s presence through prayer, stories, crafts, games, and activities.
Following the Wondering Time message in worship, children ages 3 through grade 5 are invited to join two adult leaders for Sunday School upstairs in room F207.
The class shares Joys and Concerns, lifting up their prayers as a group, and then creatively explore the scripture from Wondering Time through art, games, and activities.
Curriculum: Feasting on the Word, PCUSA
Sunday Seekers
Middlers and High School students (grades 6-12) gather in room FXXX with their adult leaders to share Joys and Concerns and then dive deep into the question “What do I believe?” as preparation for Confirmation classes being offered in early 2027. Other units will include “What is the Good News?” and “What is Justice?”

Youth Group
Concord Youth Group provides a welcoming and safe space for young people in grades 6-12 to grow in faith, enjoy fellowship, and be God’s hands and feet in the world through service.
The group meets on the first Sunday of the month following worship at 11:15am. (Please check Concord’s online calendar for any scheduling changes or contact the Spiritual Formation Director for more information.)
Activities have included service projects, mission weeks, pie baking and delivery, Vacation Bible School leadership, movie and game nights, and the annual Soup and Chili Cook-Off and Chocolate Challenge.
Open to ALL and friends are welcome!
All of Concord’s volunteers who work with children and youth have had a background check completed and have completed sexual abuse prevention training.
