Rev. Julia Burkley (she/her)
PASTOR
Pastor Julia is a graduate of Davidson College and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and is passionate about helping the church embody Christ’s radical love, justice, and welcome in the world. She especially values creating a community where those who have historically been excluded or hurt by the church can experience belonging and acceptance.

Christina Pressley (she/her)
DIRECTOR OF SPIRITUAL FORMATION
Christina has more than 20 years of experience in Christian education and youth ministry and has served Concord’s children, youth, and families for the past 15 years. As Spiritual Formation Director, she leads Sunday School, youth programs, Vacation Bible School, preschool ministry, music, and other opportunities for faith formation. -
Matthew Pressley (he/him)
MINISTER OF MUSIC
Matthew is an accomplished vocalist, composer, arranger, and music educator who holds a degree in voice performance from the University of Delaware. As Concord’s Minister of Music, he leads the church’s music ministry and founded the Concord Concert Series, which brings professional-quality musical performances to the wider community. -
Nancy Long (she/her)
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Nancy brings a lifelong connection to the Presbyterian Church and previous experience in church administration to her role as Concord’s Office Administrator. An ordained Elder and Deacon, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and her cat, Simba. -
Sinae Lee (she/her)
PIANIST, ORGANIST, ACCOMPANIST
Sinae is an accomplished pianist with a Master of Music degree from the National Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland, and extensive experience as a soloist and collaborative musician. In addition to serving as Concord’s pianist and organist, she works with La Bella Music Academy, the Philadelphia Master Chorale, and West Chester University.

PRESCHOOL & CHILDCARE ADMINISTRATOR
Lori has worked with young children and their families for more than 30 years and has served as Concord Preschool & Childcare’s Administrator since 2001. She especially values building relationships with families and connecting the preschool with Concord’s community outreach.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Lori came to Concord Preschool after many years working in the medical field and now serves as Early Childhood Education Director. She loves supporting Concord’s students and families and participating in community and outreach projects alongside the church.

Rev. Julia Burkley (she/her)
Pastor Julia got her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Davidson College and her Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary before serving her first call in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Truly believing that the church is called to be Christ’s hands, heart, and feet in the world, she is justice-oriented and focused on bringing Christ’s radical love to all. All are welcome, especially those who have been historically disenfranchised and hurt by the church, and she works to create a family of love and acceptance. In her free time, she enjoys walking and hiking with her goldendoodle Jackson, curling up on the couch with her cat Hazel on her lap, or exploring Wilmington and being around community.

Christina Pressley (she/her)
Christina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Delaware, taught in the public school system for 6 years and has been serving as a Christian Educator and Youth Minister for 22 years, the past 15 years at Concord. As the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries Christina supervises Sunday School for ages 3-14, leads the Youth Group and Youth Choir, writes curricula for and directs the Vacation Bible School, serves as the Concord Preschool liaison, Preschool Chapel leader and Concord Preschool Music teacher, and fills many other roles for the church and its youth and families. She has been a sought after consultant for her expertise in youth and children’s programs, has been a licensed Kindermusik teacher, and maintains a private piano teaching studio. Christina is married to Matthew Pressley and has two sons, Teyton and Hobie.

Matthew Pressley (he/him)
Matthew Pressley was trained as a lyric tenor by renowned opera teachers Dan Pressley and Nancy Gamble Pressley. A graduate in voice performance from the University of Delaware, Mr. Pressley has hundreds of oratorio and opera performances to his credit, numerous regional and national singing honors, and a hard-earned reputation as an engaging, communicative singer who fervently cultivates audience rapport. As Minister of Music at Concord, he founded and directs the dynamic music outreach program, the Concord Concert Series. The series enlists professional musicians and dedicated volunteers to produce choral/orchestral works, full and semi-staged productions, recitals, and the series’ signature themed Gala concerts, while charging no admission. As an accomplished arranger, composer, and songwriter, Mr. Pressley has created traditional classical, contemporary, world/global, and hymn-based works for voice and piano, choir, brass, strings and contemporary ensembles. He has maintained a private teaching studio for many years.
Nancy Long (she/her)
Nancy has been a Presbyterian all her life, including graduating from Westminster College, a small Presbyterian college in western Pennsylvania. Nancy is an ordained Elder and Deacon and worships at Hanover Presbyterian Church where she currently serves as chair of Christian Education. Before coming to Concord, Nancy worked as the church administrative assistant at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Wilmington, Delaware. Nancy is married to Jeff and they have two adult children, Andrew and Kathryn. Nancy enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her cat, Simba.

Sinae Lee (she/her)
Sinae is a skilled pianist who graduated from Keimyung University in South Korea and pursued further studies at the National Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland, where she earned her Master of Music degree. She also completed coursework in Musicology at Keimyung University and participated in a conducting seminar in Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.
Sinae has performed numerous solo recitals and collaborated with various professional groups. She has concertized with the Ukraine Prokofiev Philharmonic Orchestra and Daegu Symphony Orchestra, performed in the Ulsan Composers Association Concerts and Daegu International New Media Art Festival, and had her performances broadcast on television for the KBS Saturday Concerts and the MBC Thursday Concerts in South Korea. Currently her professional activities are serving as director at La Bella Music Academy, organist and pianist here at Concord Presbyterian Church, current accompanist for the Philadelphia Master Chorale, and staff accompanist at West Chester University (Jan. 2024).

Lori Bigalow
Lori Bigalow is originally from upstate NY. She has been working with young children and their families for over 30 years. She started out running her own home care. When she moved to Delaware, she decided to work outside of her home. She has been a Head Pre-kindergarten Teacher, an Assistant Director, and a Director at 2 other centers for 13 years. Since 2001 she has been Concord Preschool and Childcare’s Administrator. She takes great pride in helping to grow the center into what it is today. She enjoys working with the families in a church setting and loves to be able to contribute to community projects and outreach from the church. This is a very fulfilling job for her and she loves every minute of it.
PRESCHOOL & CHILDCARE ADMINISTRATORLori Schofield
Lori Schofield was born and raised in Newark DE. She was in the medical field as a phlebotomist working in Christiana Hospital, as a traveling phlebotomist to many nursing homes, and then many years at the Blood Bank of Delmarva.
Coming to Concord Preschool as the Administrative Assistant, Lori recently took the Concord Early Childhood Education Director position. She loves working with all the students and families and doing community and outreach projects with the church.
She wouldn’t change it for anything!
